Wavelength Podcasts is a podcast app that allows users to easily listen to their favorite podcasts and make connections with other users with similar interests.
OBJECTIVE
Create a podcast app that is easy to navigate through a simple, organized structure and addition of features that further emphasize the theme of connections.

BEHIND THE NAME
‘Wavelength’ has two deeper meanings. The first one referring to audio sound waves and second the phrase used when people share something in common or on the same page which emphasizes the app’s theme of connections between users and the podcasts they share interests with.
I used a soft light yellow color with accents of a darker yellow-orange to tie into the app’s concept of friendship, connections, and joy in common interests.
To create a seamless experience, podcast covers blend into the background with the color of the UI responding for best contrast.
Features such as adding a comment at a certain time stamp or snipping a piece of audio to share were included to encourage interaction between users. The feature of playlists was also added so users can curate playlists of their favorite podcast episodes they don’t want to forget and share with others for them to add to their library!
