ABOUT
Original House of Donuts (OHOD) is a donut shop located in Lakewood, WA. It opened back in 1959 and has established a solid, loyal customer base since then.
OBJECTIVE
Redesign their website while maintaining their brand colors and retro feel but updated and easier to navigate. Create an app as food delivery apps continue to rise in popularity and in addition expand their audience.

HOMEPAGE - BEFORE & AFTER
With design becoming more minimal and a big audience of the brand being the older generation, I wanted to make the homepage as easy to navigate as possible. With solid color background and bold type, it allows for easier readability.
MENU - BEFORE & AFTER
Their current menu is a bit overwhelming to look at with all the text and the black text on a bright orange background doesn’t allow for much contrast. I made the background a solid color and used a menu tab bar to easily break down the different categories and allow for easier navigation. I included images of donuts so the customer gets a better idea of what they’re ordering as that is an important factor.
APP LOADING SCREEN & MENU
For the app I did a simple loading page that allows customers to have an account to easily access past orders. I carried over the same organization system and imagery from the website to provide consistency.
